Missionaries

Holy Trinity is linked to Kazakhstan, where David and Rachel Baker serve. They write: "We spent the first week of May in Kyrgyzstan, where the second Central Asian Lutheran Conference took place. Our missionaries and sister churches from both countries along with a number of guests from other Lutheran organizations and mission societies across Central Asia gathered together to praise the Lord, encourage one another, and hold council on the Lord's work in this largely unreached area of the world. The hand of God at work in our mission teams and emerging church partners was clear to all as the various participants presented on their ministries, preached and offered words of advice and encouragement. The theme of the conference—'Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ' (2 Peter 3:18)—was appropriately chosen. As we prayed and planned for the continuing spiritual growth of the churches and the further spread of the Gospel in Central Asia, we also lifted up joy-filled praise for the growth that the Lord has already worked in our midst!"
